Classic Hospitality has recognised that Cheltenham visitors who come from London often take the train to Cheltenham Spa. The problem with this is that they have an arduous journey from the other side of Cheltenham to the racecourse in horrendous traffic, some even complaining that the bus transfer has taken well over an hour. Our solution offers a transfer from London direct to the back of the Grandstand at the racecourse.
We achieve this in the following way:
Take the 7.50am National Rail direct train from London Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh which takes 1 hour 36 minutes (no changes).
A specially chartered coach will be waiting to take you to Toddington to board our racecourse bound steam train which goes straight to the back of the Grandstand. The return cost for the coach transfer is just £25 per person and when you take into account the cost of taxis for Festival week which can be in excess of £100 pounds, this is great value.
On arrival at Toddington, listen to the live band, enjoy a glass of Champagne on the platform and take your designated seat on the steam train. Enjoy the 35 minute steam train journey through the Cotswolds arriving in style at the back of the Grandstand.
Take the short stroll to the North entrance and experience this great festival of National Hunt Racing either in one of our hospitality facilities or just with your entrance ticket. Reverse the process on the way home and miss all the hours of queuing to exit the Car Parks and avoid the Cheltenham traffic jams. |
